MovinCool: Re-launch Teaser
PROJECT: After years of success, MovinCool's physical unit design appeared dated. Therefore, MovinCool's industrial designers went to work on creating new units featuring more modern design aesthetics and exciting new features.
As a result of this activity we were tasked with creating a mailer announcing the new design and impending re-launch.
When MovinCool was first launched, the phrase "Spot Cooling" resulted in the use of Dalmation puppies in the marketing materials. With the new launch, it was decided that we borrow from that tradition but update the material to reflect the exciting features of the new units.
Taking those points from the brief, I designed a package that picked up on the onyx of the units, incorporated the spots heralded in MovinCool's heritage, and the MovinCool brand color blue. Each box featured a plush toy with a bandana, a MovinCool feature sheet, and an outer mailer that was made to look like the actual shippers every new MovinCool full size unit was shipped in.
